I didn't know exactly what to expect, but the SCHEELS course in Wichita, Kansas was comprehensive and the instructors were great. The course ended with a range test. I think it's important that you practice before attending because I was unusually nervous despite my intermediate experience. You have to shoot a portion of the test one handed as well which I didn't expect. Great experience overall.
