Schedule Your In Person Training

The state of Arizona requires applicants to complete 3 hours of in-person training.

Call us at (602) 903-1063 to schedule your training with a Concealed Coalition state approved trainer. You must be able to demonstrate that you can safely and proficiently handle a handgun and ammunition.

If you reserved a second seat you must call us at (602) 903-1063 to schedule and reserve their seat. Same class reservations are required.

Email the Concealed Weapons Permit Unit

In order to obtain an application packet and start your application process, you need to email the Concealed Weapons Permit Unit.

Fingerprinting

Your application packet will come with fingerprint cards as well as a return envelope. Make an appointment (if necessary) to get your fingerprints done by an approved agency.

Complete and Return the Application

Follow the instructions set by the application packet to submit your application.

You will need the following:

– Your application

– Firearm Training Certificate of Completion

– Your two sets of fingerprints

– Payment of the $60 fee. (Money order, cashier’s or certified check; payable to the AZ DPS to the CWPU.)

Check Your Mail

You will be notified by mail within 75 days if you have been approved or denied for your Arizona Resident Concealed Carry Permit.

Remember that you must meet federal requirements to carry and possess a firearm. State and federal requirements may differ, and if you break federal law, you could be prosecuted in federal court.
