Call our Scheduling Team at (800) 753-0373 to schedule your training with a Concealed Coalition state approved trainer.
If Live Fire is required by your state you MUST be able to demonstrate that you can safely and proficiently handle a handgun and ammunition.
IMPORTANT – If you reserved a guest seat via our Friends and Family offer you MUST call us at (800) 753-0373 to provide the second student’s full name, email address, and demographics. This information is used for certificates and proper documentation.
If Live Fire is required by your state, this student MUST ALSO be able to demonstrate that they can safely and proficiently handle a handgun and ammunition.
Complete the required forms. You will need to get (4) character references to send in with your application.
To apply, you will need to go to your county sheriff’s office and bring the following:
– Completed Application
– 4 character references
– Two (recent) 2×2 color passport style photos
– Payment of the fee. (varies by county, we suggest calling ahead to confirm)
When you apply at the Sheriff’s office, you will be fingerprinted.
At this point in the process you will undergo a series of background checks and be interviewed by the state police.
If all background checks and interviews are deemed acceptable, your application will then be submitted to either a licensing judge, sheriff or police commissioner who will evaluate the application.
You will be notified by mail within 6 months if you have been approved or denied for your New York Resident Pistol / Revolver License.
Remember that you must meet federal requirements to carry and possess a firearm. State and federal requirements may differ, and if you break federal law, you could be prosecuted in federal court.
