Schedule Your In Person Training with Live-Fire

The state of North Dakota requires applicants to complete 4 hours of in-person training which includes live-fire.

Call us at (701) 639-4866 to schedule your training with a Concealed Coalition state approved trainer. You must be able to demonstrate that you can safely and proficiently handle a handgun and ammunition.


If you reserved a second seat you must call us at (701) 639-4866 to schedule and reserve their seat. Same class reservations are required

Download Your Application

Download the North Dakota Resident Class 1 application here:

Complete your application and print out a copy to mail OR complete it at the testing site, if available.

Take Your State Test

Make an appointment with a test administrator. All first-time applicants must pass a written, open-book test based on the Concealed Weapon License Manual.

Fingerprinting

New applicants are required to submit two fingerprint cards with the application that they mail in to the State. Schedule your fingerprinting at an approved agency and complete your fingerprint cards.

Gather Your Documents

Gather all of the following documents that you will need to apply:

– Your completed application

– Photocopy of your Driver’s License or State ID

– Two 2×2 Color passport style photographs taken within the last 30 days.

– Two fingerprint cards

– Payment of the $60 fee (cashier’s check or money order payable to the Bureau of Criminal Inspection (BCI))

Check Your Mail

You will be notified by mail within 60 days if you have been approved or denied for your North Dakota Resident Class 1 Concealed Carry Permit.

Remember that you must meet federal requirements to carry and possess a firearm. State and federal requirements may differ, and if you break federal law, you could be prosecuted in federal court.
