Last week, on Oct.7, 2019, an 18-year-old wanted man on gun charges was arrested. Delaware State Police arrested the man in dover. The 18-year-old man was caught carrying a gun with an obliterated serial number on it. The city authorities announced Monday.
The wanted man was chased in the 200 block of South DuPoint Highway in dover, Delaware. Accordingto the Dover Police, Dakota Borntreger was spotted by officers who discovered he was wanted by the state authorities.
Dakota Borntreger was stopped by the officers for running. Once he was caught, officers found him to be in possession of a 9mm handgun with a ruined serial number.
Borntreger was taken into custody. He was taken without incident and charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon. Dakota got two counts, possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. He has been ordered to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu. He is on a $20,000 bond!
